Abstract
Research into the problems of the social structure of developed socialist society has advanced significantly over the past decade. These studies can now be regarded as having reached a qualitatively new stage, characterized by emphasis upon the specific features of the chosen approach, be it philosophical, historical, sociological, or whatever else. It is very important that in elaborating this many-sided problem no single scientific discipline should be taken as universally valid and that the essence of controversial issues should not be distorted by pseudoscientific ratiocination.
