Abstract

The article deals with the issue comparing the output signal forms in magnetostrictive displacement converters formed under the influence input current pulses triangular and rectangular shapes. Expressions that allow performing numerical calculation the output signal values are given, including expressions that allow calculating the output signal under the influence input current pulses rectangular and triangular shapes. Based on the derived calculation formulas, computational experiments were conducted to study the shapes the output signal formed under the influence input current pulses formed under the influence current pulses triangular and rectangular shapes, the results which demonstrated the similarity their shapes. However, the results computational experiments have shown that there are small differences in the rise and fall time the output signal fronts. This made it possible to conclude that linear and angular displacements both input current pulses rectangular and triangular shapes can be used in magnetostrictive converters. The similarity the output signal forms the magnetostrictive displacement Converter formed under the influence current pulses rectangular and triangular forms can be explained by two integration operations and one differentiation operation performed for their calculation. The results the computational experiment were confirmed experimentally on a set assembled for this purpose. The forms output signals obtained as a result computational experiments and experimental verification completely coincided, which indicates the adequacy the obtained formulas and expressions.
