Abstract
In recognition of the evolution and history of education related to the premise of political struggle,the paper broke or bent along the political history of Republic of China of regime change by the model,emphasizing the development law of education history,integrating the history of social evolution and education development.It divided the western higher education of Republic of China into three periods:the struggled embryonic period:1912-1926 years; the peak period of western education to achieve localization:1927-1937 years; the low survival period:1937-1949 years.
