Abstract

The possible occurrence of Cooper-like pairs in infinite nuclear matter is examined in the frame of Bruckner theory with a realisticN-N potential (RSC). It is found that they arise both in the3S1 and in the1S0 channel, the former being always favoured. Moreover a phase transition is found at low density, from a nuclear bound state to an assembly of deuterons.
