Abstract
The experiments were performed with beet pectin and laminaride obtained as described in [2, 3]. Pectin was characterized by the following content of functional groups (wt.%): free carboxy groups, 13.59; methylated carboxy groups, 17.76; degree of etherification of carboxy groups, 40.42; acetylated hydroxy groups, 12.59. Laminaride represents a polysaccharide – amino acid preparation containing (wt.%): algic acid, 28.54; other polysaccharides, 18.50; amino acids, 5.60; microand macroelements, 31.45. The heavy metal ion sorption capacity of pectin was 1525 mg Pb g and that of laminaride was 2313 mg Pb g.
