Abstract
The existing literature on measuring routing flexibility has focused on single or partial dimensions of the flexibility concept. This research proposes a more comprehensive approach for routing flexibility measurement that incorporates three attributes: routing efficiency, routing versatility and routing variety. Mathematical models are proposed for measuring these attributes. Both data envelopment analysis and the entropy approach are used as methodologies for the development of the measurement.
