Abstract

The elastic and inelastic channel contributions to the isospin impurity of an analog state wave function is considered from a shell model description. The on and off resonance behavior of these contributions is discussed. The inelastic channel contributions are found to be more important in the wings of an analog resonance than near the analog state resonance energy.
