Abstract
Force and moment balance laws are derived for structured continua. The approach consists in the use of two hypotheses: the availability of a “microscope”, mathematized by the introduction of a scale parametere; the existence of total and fine power expenses and the invariance of the corresponding power functionals in the limite → 0+.
