Abstract
The detailed analysis of both a light fuel oil and the emissions from a domestic oil oven demonstrate that the emitted aromatics partially can be unburned residues from the fuel charge. Besides the pure hydrocarbon aromatics, large quantities of mono, di and polycyclic aromatics containing oxygen are detected in the exhaust gases. The emitted polycyclic aromatics are strongly dealkylated.
