Abstract

For the development of fusion reactor blankets, neutron flux spectrum measurements with activation detectors will be needed. In Multicomponent Activation Detectors (MAD) several detector materials are irradiated and measured simultaneously for gamma-active reaction products. The feasibility of MADs for fusion neutron spectra is studied with optimization computations and their resolution is studied with spectrum unfolding simulations.
