Abstract
Various methods for obtaining longitudinal polarization of electrons circulating in a high energy storage ring are analysed. One apparently practical method is found. Such longitudinal polarization could be used to detect directly the parity violating effects of the weak interactions in proposed high energy electron-proton colliding beam machines.
