Abstract

Approximate closed form expressions are developed for Bose–Einstein and Fermi–Dirac integrals using Levin-like transforms. These are utilized to obtain closed form expressions for the generalized Bose–Einstein and Fermi–Dirac integrals. With these expressions it is possible to obtain the numerical value of the integrals to an accuracy of 5 to 8 significant digits with low order transforms, the added advantage being that these results are amenable to analytic manipulations.
