On the enhancement and suppression factors in nonleptonic interactions

Abstract

We point out that it is important to check the relation ${c}_{\ensuremath{-}}{c}_{+}^{2}=1$, where ${c}_{\ensuremath{-}}$ and ${c}_{+}$ are the enhancement and suppression factors, respectively, related to the short-distance behavior of the left-handed current products. The data of kaon decays yield ${c}_{\ensuremath{-}}{c}_{+}^{2}=2.5\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.2$.
