Abstract

Abstract The possibility of the emanating power constituting a source of error in the measurement of geological time is discussed. It is shown that in certain cases it must not be neglected. Kolm is discussed thoroughly and its age calculated to be 442 MY. Two formulas for self-diffusion through porous substances of emanation are proposed. The fissuring in strongly radioactive minerals is discussed with the aid of a formula proposed by Heckter for the calculation of the size of glass-surfaces.
