Abstract

The influence of iron on ash content determination on radiometric ways has been investigated. Principles of different methods of diminishing errors caused by variation in iron content have been demonstrated and discussed. The effectiveness of intrinsic iron compensation has been checked by coal samples of different chemical and mineralogical composition. It has been shown that the compensation of variations in iron content, is lim ed.
