Abstract

This paper presents a study of the decomposition of hydrate at a positive temperature, taking into account the flowing down water from its surface. Two cases of decomposition of a cylindrical sample of a hydrate are considered, the first – the generatrix of the cylinder is located vertically, the second – the generatrix is located horizontally. It is shown that the decomposition rate is higher for a horizontally located hydrate sample. It was found that at a higher temperature (287 K), the intensity of decomposition of gas hydrate samples increases and the time for complete decomposition of vertical and horizontal samples begins to be 122 s and 105 s, respectively.
