Abstract

Five years have passed since the adoption of the Law on the School. During these years the tie of the school with life, labor and the practice of communist construction has been strengthened. There is every reason to assert that the direction defined by the law for the development of the Soviet school has completely justified itself. It corresponds in the best possible way to the democratic character of socialist society and to the nature of contemporary scientific and technological progress, which depends upon the growth of the general educational training and culture of all workers and upon the union of labor and science.
