Abstract
Method for quantitative description of the boundary condition in terms of wall temperature and wall heat flux of a test heater used in heat transfer experiments in proposed. Also presented is clarification of an issue with regard to reduction of heat transfer data under different standard boundary conditions. It is suggested that a modified definition of mean heat transfer coefficient be used for data obtained under constant wall heat flux boundary condition.
