Abstract

Over the last years Finite Element Tearing and Interconnecting (FETI) Domain Decomposition Methods (DDM) have emerged as formidable parallel solvers for large scale finite element electromagnetic computations. In [1] an efficient λ-based FETI with first order transmission conditions was proposed and its stability and scalability characteristics were described. However, the accuracy of the method has not been carefully scrutinized. This paper presents a study of the accuracy of that FETI DDM with various choices of the Lagrange multiplier space and for conforming and non-conforming discretizations.
