Abstract
By DWBA analysis of α-particle inelastic scattering on 28Si at E α = 28.4 MeV, the collective enhancement of the 3 - level at 6.88 MeV is determined as B(E3)/ B(E3) s.p. = 6.1. In 24Mg, a 3 - level is located at 8.4 MeV with an enhancement factor of 2.9.
