Abstract

Investigations were carried out on thin electroless Ni-Fe films obtained by chemical reduction. The effect of the temperature (from 20° to 87°C) and pH (from 9 to 13) of the solution on some magnetic properties and on the structure and composition of the films (% Ni) was studied. It was observed that the rectangularity of the hysteresis loop decreases for high temperature films with the increase of their thickness, while with films obtained at lower temperatures (20° to 40°C) the change is irregular. It was established that the magnetic properties and the composition of the films depend to a great extent on the pH of the solution.
