Abstract
The article analyzes the bilateral cooperation of the Republic of Tajikistan in the field of environmental protection, in particular, it considers agreements with the Russian Federation, the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Turkey, since it is with these countries that Republic of Tajikistan has common interests in resolving issues related to environmental protection. The author draws attention not only to the procedure for concluding these agreements, but also touches upon the mechanisms of cooperation between the participating States, the implementation of the norms of agreements in the domestic legislation of states. The author identified some mechanisms that affect the effectiveness of cooperation between states and proposed ways to improve it.
