Abstract
The Interpersonal psychoanalytic tradition is responsible, more than any other, for what has been described variously as the postmodern or the relational turn in psychoanalysis. This is insufficiently appreciated within the international and even the national community of psychoanalysts. Many psychoanalytic writers who should know better fail to adequately reference the Interpersonal roots of their contemporary perspectives.
