Abstract
A construction of a symmetry group for the Kostant-Souriau quantization of a mechanical system is given. There exists the following exact sequence of homomorphisms of Lie groups: 1 → S 1 → G ˜ → G → 1 , where G is a symmetry group of the classical mechanical system, and G the quantum symmetry group under consideration.
