Abstract

As librarians take on the responsibility for promoting Open Access (OA) publishing at their institutions, they face many doubts and misconceptions about OA. This article reviews common misunderstandings about OA and reflects on different methods academic librarians can use to address researcher doubts and convince faculty to commit themselves to publishing their works in OA venues.
