Abstract

Jorge Ishizawa argues for ‘a dialogue of cosmovision’ that respects culture and which encourages cultural mediation as the means by which actors from development and global civil society can contribute to marginal peoples' well-being. He proposes an end of the violence of development through a more inclusive and less arrogant approach to communities' own knowledge of nature and expression of culture.
