Abstract
Once dynamic process models are available, model-based analysis, design and testing methods for Hardware–in-the-Loop (HiL) simulation in context of developing motor control functions in automotive applications can be applied. For Hardware–in-the-Loop (HiL) simulation, a high-precision model is required. In this paper, a clustering-based identification method for piecewise-affine (PWA) models for systems with friction is presented that utilizes open-loop recorded data. The method is demonstrated with two industrial electro-mechanical throttles.
