Abstract

In this paper, using the stochastic geometry, we analyze the uplink performance of non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) in millimeter wave (mmWave) cellular networks. Our model takes account of the line-of-sight (LOS)/ non-line-of-sight (NLOS) propagation and directional beamforming. The expressions of coverage probability and network throughput are obtained. The numerical results highlight the importance of choosing network parameters to guarantee the NOMA performance. A comparison of conventional ultra-high-frequency (UHF) networks indicates that the NOMA in mmWave networks show the superiority.
