Abstract
Peculiarities of using combined diode pumping consisting of continuous wave (CW) and pulsed components in a diode-pumped solid-state (DPSS) laser with intracavity saturable absorber are studied. The requirements to pumping parameters for Q-switched operation are stated. The threshold optical pump energy and the diode-pumping time are investigated.
