Abstract

In this article solution of the Maxwell set of equations in cylindrical domain with homogeneous boundary conditions is constructed. New approach of expansion of unknown functions into series by two sets of functions orthogonal over the cross-section of domain is used. It is shown that the mixed type conjugation problem, to which the diffraction problem of electromagnetic wave on thin conducting lateral screen placed inside of the waveguide is reduced, is equivalent to two infinite sets of linear algebraic equations.
