Abstract

By starting from the conjecture that theK-amplitude due to the scattering of two particles off an energy-dependent nonlocal single-rank separable interaction is equal to the average of theK-amplitudes corresponding to a repulsive and an attractive energy-independent single separable interaction under particular conditions, a single separable interaction depending on the energy of the system under consideration is presented to obtain a fairly good agreement with the behaviours of the1S0 and3S1 nucleon-nucleon phase shifts up to the laboratory wave numberp=3.5 fm−1.
