Abstract

In this note we obtain explicit solutions of a second order nonlinear boundary value problem: (1) d 2 y d x 2 = λ ( x ) e μ y (2) y ( 0 ) = y ( 1 ) = 0 where μ > 0 is a constant and the function λ ( x ) > 0 is twice continuously differentiable and satisfies certain conditions.
