Abstract
A new species of the Ichneumonidae, subfamily Banchinae, Syzeuctus jordanicus sp. n., is described from Jordan. Within the genus Syzeuctus Förster, the new species is characterized by its slender tergites, absence of posterior transverse carina of propodeum, long ovipositor, largely reddish mesosoma and legs and extended black colouration of the metasoma. A differential diagnosis, detailed description and illustrations of the main characters are given for this new species. http://www.zoobank.org/urn:lsid:zoobank.org:pub:E9315C0A-2668-4793-9B1B-1094C44FD1ED
