Abstract
A generalization of van Bokhoven's canonical synthesis for a class of immittance functions that can be represented by a product of an RL and an RC impedance, ie, class-M functions, is presented. It is shown that, in general, this synthesis procedure leads to a greater number of realizations because it allows to obtain all those possible of the type given by van Bokhoven.
