Abstract

In this study, two stage, two stage cluster, three stage sampling are mentioned briefly and determination of sample size in these techniques are examined. Applications of simple random, stratified random, two stage, two stage cluster and three stage sampling were utilized on data of wheat production amounts from 828 towns of 78 cities of 7 geographical regions of Turkey in 1997. According to this application, although more precise estimation results were obtained by stratified random sampling, in can be stated that multistage sampling methods are advantageous of effort, cost, and time due to lower sampling units
