Abstract
AbstractRecently, a number of oil and gas giants such as Shell, Total, BP, China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), Sinopec and CNOOC have laid out new energy industries including wind power, photovoltaic and hydrogen energy. With high business fit and stable investment income, offshore wind power has become an important field for these oil and gas enterprises to explore new energy business. Oil and gas enterprises and oil service enterprises participate in the development of offshore wind power, which may involve the following five specific businesses: ① development and operation of installation vessel; ② design and construction of offshore wind power projects; ③ offshore wind power development and asset operation; ④ hydrogen production from offshore wind power and; ⑤ energy island construction. For oil and gas enterprises, the above business may bring new profit growth points, which can disperse the investment risks of single oil and gas business. However, offshore wind power industry is a new industry, which has some problems such as high cost, immature technology and imperfect laws and regulations.
