Abstract
The Bulletin plans to discuss in a series of articles, the questions raised by the current debate on defense and preparedness. The first article is by Dr. Seitz, professor of physics and technical director of the Control Systems Laboratory at the University of Illinois. Dr. Seitz believes that our present military budget is about half its proper value and suggests that we should expand both our defensive and offensive weapons development.
