Abstract

Abstract We report the case of a 33-year-old male patient who developed ophthalmoplegic symptoms following a viper snakebite. The patient presented with complaints of ptosis, blurred vision, and diplopia following a snakebite on his left lower limb. Clinical examinations revealed signs of envenomation, including local swelling and tenderness, alongside ocular manifestations such as limited extraocular movements and alternating exotropia. Blood investigations showed elevated white blood cell count and urinary abnormalities. The objective of this case report is to present the characteristic findings and management of this rare manifestation of a viper snakebite.
