Abstract

The aim of this work was to evaluate occurrence of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) associated with the sunflower on Campo Verde-MT city. The experiment was conducted at Fazenda Santa Luzia on Campo Verde (MT) city, which design adopted was a randomized complete block with four replications, using three genotypes: M 734 (Dow AgroSciences), Agrobel 960 (Seminium S.A) e Embrapa 122 (Embrapa Soja). In each repetition were chosen randomly three plants were rhizosphere soil and fine roots were collected. The spores of AMF were extracted from 50 mL of soil. After the extraction the spores were evalueted on stereoscopic microscope, as well as the verification of its viability (Walley & Germida 1995). To determine the percentage of colonization, root's coloration with trypan-blue in lactoglicerol was used, and the evaluation of colonization was made according to Phillips & Hayman, 1970. Data were submitted to the analysis of variance and medias compared by Tukey test 5%. Density and favouritism of the total population of spores was higher in genotype M 734. The genotypes did not affect the viability of spores of AMF.
