Abstract

Fire protection with special value of cultural property and national heritage The article presents conclusions and proposals formulated as a result of own research and research teams. Additional motivation for their presentation were the undertakings and initiatives of the previous and current year concerning fire protection, taking into account the special value of cultural property and national heritage. The considerations presented deal with an important issue boiling down to the question of how to protect more effectively? - How to effectively secure cultural heritage and how to more effectively provide full protection to monuments? Among other things, the article addresses the need and legitimacy of fire protection planning. These issues were linked to the topic of applying new technologies and solutions for fire protection. In conclusion, it was indicated that these activities should be aimed at the goal of improving the effectiveness of fire protection combined with its adaptation and rationalization. Securing cultural heritage and providing full protection to monuments requires deepening cooperation between many entities, including in particular the State Fire Service and conservators of monuments. This cooperation has required and will probably require new solutions, including perhaps legal ones.
