Abstract
The capricious nature of the results obtained in acid phosphatase preparations is notorious. An investigation of the causes of this is presented. It was found that it is possible to produce uniform preparations. In addition to many small details which must be carefully followed, two major factors radically affecting the results were observed: the technic of mounting the section on the glass slide, and the technic of deparaffinization and hydration. The final technic worked out is presented in the Summary and Conclusions.
