Abstract
In this work, bismuth layer-structured Bi2LaTiNbO9 (BLTN) was introduced into BiFeO3–BaTiO3 system. A large Wrec of 3.26 J/cm3 with a high η of 80.8% were realized in the BF-BT-0.08BLTN ceramic. The addition of BLTN facilitates to enhance the relaxor behavior and band gap of BF-BT ceramics and also suppresses the grain growth. More impressively, the x = 0.08 ceramic shows an excellent thermal stability (Δ Wrec/ Wrec < 2.2%, 25–100 °C) due to the temperature-insensitive permittivity of BLTN, which is superior to other BiFeO3-based ceramics. This work indicated that the BLTN is an effective additive for dielectric materials used in the variable temperature environment.
