Abstract

Background & Statement of the problem: Schools face multiple challenges which require considering new strategies, among which is the relying on administrative creativity. Administrative creativity is considered a necessity to ensure the sustainability and distinction of the school in an environment marked by change and complexity. Creativity contributes to enhancing the strength of the institution and achieving the desired successes. This motivated the researcher to conduct this study. Objectives: The study aimed to identify the obstacles facing administrative creativity among public school principals in Rusaifa district, and to reveal whether there are statistically significant differences based on the variables of gender, educational qualification, and years of experience. Methods: The descriptive survey method was adopted And the development of a questionnaire that measures the obstacles to administrative creativity, consisting of (30) items which include three fields. It was distributed to a randomly selected sample consisting of (80) male and female principals in Rusaifa District schools / Jordan. Results: The results showed that there were statistically significant differences between the averages of the responses of the study sample to the organizational and barriers as a whole due to the gender variable, and the differences were in favor of females, and there were no statistically significant differences between the averages of the responses of the study sample to the obstacles to administrative creativity as a whole due to the educational qualification and years variable. Conclusions (Recommendations and contributions): The study recommended the importance of developing the skills of public school principals in overcoming personal, organizational and social obstacles to administrative creativity, enabling them to apply various methods in creative programs within the school.
