Abstract
The lesser cornstalk borer, Elasmopalpus lignosellus (Zeller), is a destructive pest of grass and legume crops in Georgia. The most extensive losses occur in the seedling stage of late-planted crops. Girdle injury and destruction of maturing legumes are common where heavy infestations occur.
