Abstract Photoelectric measurements made during the eclipse of May 30, 1965, show linear polarization of X10747 ranging between 8 and 30 per cent. Observations were made at four positions in the corona between 1.2 and 1.72 solar radii. The electric vector of X10747 is found to be approximately radial. From the observed line to continuum ratios the estimated abundance of iron relative to hydrogen is approximately 8 x 10- .
