Abstract

We report the observation of a delayed all-optical routing using an ultraslow-light phenomenon in a defected solid medium. Unlike simultaneously enhanced slow-light-based four-wave mixing processes, the present observation demonstrates on-demand delayed all-optical routing via the direct retrieval of atomic coherence strongly coupled with the slow light.
