Abstract

Objective To study the effect of triamcinolone acetonide on early recurrent pterygium.Methods 0.1ml triamcinolone acetonide was injected into recurrent pterygium body of 24 eyes in 20cases.The progress and regression of pterygium was observed in the following 6 months.Results In the 24 eyes with recurrent pterygium,16 eyes were subsided and 6 eyes were improved without significant complications.Conclusions Triamcinolone acetonide injection in pterygium body has obvious effect on the treatment of recurrent pterygium.
