Abstract

Objective To investigate the effects of single balloon for pregnant women with immature cervical conditions and the effects on visual analogue scale (VAS) score. Methods A total of 90 cases pregnant women with immature cervical conditions who were admitted to Jiangyin People’s Hospital from January 2017 to June 2018 were selected as research subjects, and they were randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 45 cases in each group. Patients in control group were given small doses of oxytocin for planning delivery, and patients in observation group used cervical single balloon dilatation for planning delivery. The effects of cervical ripening and outcomes and mode of delivery were compared between the two groups. The VAS scores of the two groups were compared. Results The effective rate of promoting cervical ripening in observation group was higher than that in control group (P 0.05); after treatment, the VAS score of observation group was lower than that of control group (P<0.05). Conclusions Single balloon therapy is effective for pregnant women with immature cervical condition. It can also reduce VAS score, which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
