Abstract
Summary The paper contains the description of morphology and life history of a new species of cephaline gregarine of the genus Quadruspinospora Sarkar and Chakravarty , 1969 from an Indian grasshopper, Spathosternum prasiniferum prasiniferum ( Walker ). a chronological list of Quadruspinospora species so far recorded from orthopteran insects in India have been incorporated. Informations regarding the percentage of infection, seasonal intensity and type material have also been given.
