Abstract

Multiplet splitting of the main doublet of the 14NH 3, J = K = 1 inversion line has been observed in a molecular beam maser spectrometer when a strong microwave radiation field is introduced into the maser cavity. This phenomenon is attributed to the dynamic Stark effect at microwave frequencies.
